Bingu in China hospital for life-saving treatment

Friday, November 11th, 2011 | Post By

Bingu in China hospital for life-saving treatment, -100% based on 1 rating

BEIJING (Malawi Democrat) -Malawi President Bingu wa Mutharika has been hospitalised in China for a life-saving treatment, Malawi Democrat can reveal.

Though there has been a lot of secrecy around Wa Mutharika’s whereabouts, Malawi Democrat sources said he was in “terrible” state and there is “panic” from First Lady Callista Mutharika and loyalists.

The abscence of Wa Mutharika has generated heated debate in Malawi,  as well as that governmet’s  impeachment plan against the Vice President Joyce Banda is repotedly meant to pave way for dynasty  power-switch to the President’s brother, Peter –the Foreign Minister.

A source said Wa Mutharika had to undergo a “life-threatening” operation and he had somehow “worn out”.

Malawi Democrat has spoken to a number of Wa Mutharika’s party and government top official s who confirmed that the President health failings got worse soon after the Commonwealth summit in Australia last month.

Presidential spokesman Dr Hetherwick Ntaba, as expected, has denied the mounting health problems of his ageing boss .

Ntaba insisted the president is on “his annual leave somewhere” and that he “will be back soon.”

The 78-year-old Wa Mutharika health has spawned a lot of speculation with some online reports suggesting that he was diagonised of prostate cancer.

Ntaba has repeatedly been rebutting any questions about the president’s bad health.

WA MUTHARIKA: Ill-health

And the President’s brother  who rushed to visit him at weekend, said Wa Mutharika “is in good health.”

what goes around comes around. all those people who were killed and injured during the riots against his leadership and DPP party. God sees all that happens on earth and listens to our prayers and cries. He deserves all the bad on him and God will see him through all the pain he has caused on the ppl of Malawi.

It is so pathetic to learn of some few individuals hiding the truth that we might know of the truth after his decomposed body could be approximately a month old.

Death will never be welcomed or celebrated but the death of this dictator who has put a lot of Malawians’ citizens lives in danger shall be celebrated.

Bingu’s road is getting narrower and it is time for the people to take their positions and lead Malawi to a paradise. I personally declare a war on those few individuals who wish the VP be impeached.

Tags: Time to rise, Bingu No more, Even if Bingu lives it won’t last until 2014 that I fully doubt.

My only sadness is that he might die of prostate cancer due to his stubbornness of refusing to go for regular tests and adhere to a treatment regime. I will mourn my buddy when he dies, if he dies – but I hope he doesn’t die. We’ve been best friends for years now. Anyway, let me start crying: hi hi hi hi hi (sob sob sob, very sad). Hi hi hi hi

Indeed I agree with you KBK. Wishing someone to die is unnatural. Let divine nature decides his fate not us despite all the evils he has brought upon our land.

We will survive through this heat whether Bingu dies or lives. How I pray that he shouldn’t die so that he too should dance to the tune of the “tit-for-tat” Malawian politics as he has done to his predecessor!

    God bless mother Malawi!

I disagree with you. By wishing him dead it doesn’t mean we are the ones to kill him. Divine nature will still decide when the person dies. But when divine nature decides, I will celebrate because this man is responsible for our suffering when he had all the powers and the chance to make Malawi a paradise. We gave him the best MPs, donors were on our side, the rains were on our side, Malawians were united in purpose and then Bingu decides to mess up everything, starting with chasing away tobacco buyers (which has led to record low prices when the same buyers are offering better prices in Zambia and Zim), deporting the British High Commissioner (which led to the drying up of aid and the infamous zero deficit budget), messing up the University system by planting spies in classrooms, firing the Vice President for simply expressing her democratic right to oppose Peter’s candidacy, cutting corners and wasting money on Nsanje slab and calling in a world Inland Port, ordering police to kill demonstrattors and expressing no remorse for it. The list of his bad decisions is endless. And you wish this man a happy life? Are you a hypocrite? Ine ndekha ndiye ayi! I wish him dead azikacheza ndi mnzake Gadaffi uko!

I wouldn’t want vengeance on the Lomwes. My neighbour is Lomwe and I swear, as a Lomwe he doesn’t benefit from the Bingu regime. We suffer together in fuel queues. And if you go to the villages in Thyolo, the people are as landless and poor as any other villagers elsewhere in Malawi. yes, there are a few privilegded Mulhakos who are looting the system (Kaliyati, Mwanamveka, Ligoya, that ugly man who evaded MRA taxes). It’s just a few hundreds of them. The majority are suffering. So, I wouldn’t brand the whole Lomwe tribe bad. Look at people like John Kapito. He is Lomwe but gives criticism where it is due. Look at Ken Lipenga. He is part of the system but he is still level headed. On the other hand look at Ntaba and Vuwa and Zikhale. These are as bad as Bingu and they are not Lomwe. For me, I judge people on their individual merit and not on their tribe. So let Bingu die and let all the good Lomwes participate in building a better Malawi where there will be equal opportunities for all!

KBK, that is wishful thinking. As long as this man lives, Malawi will know no peace or prosperity. The sooner he dies the better. There’s no point in him to live long so that he should understand the agony he put Malawi through! Let him die. Malawi doesn’t need him. A better Malawi is possible and it would be unfair if this idiot lives to enjoy the better Malawi that others will work hard to create. In Maliro ndi Miyambo ya Achewa we talk of Maliro a Chitsiru. This is what God says regarding every leader of the nation, while you munthu wamba, you have to plead for your favour from God. You should also be careful of what you say bout the people hoping Bingu dies. You are probably a DPP member or you must be his relative. Maybe some ppl are going overboard wishing bingu dies, but we cant lie, the man has led our country Malawi to chaos! There is no fuel, excess electricity cutting, no forex, not enough medicine in hospitals and he cant even consider the ppl being affected by that. He is a stubborn and selfish man who only thinks of himself and not the ppl of the country. They cut aid on our Malawi coz of his stubbornness and he cant even apologize for that! Malawi is going thru economic crises coz of him and he doesnt want to listen to other ppl’s views but only himself! And you want ppl to feel sorry for such a heartless man???? You must be crazy!
This is probably God punishing him for all he has been doing to our counrty coz ppl have been praying for him to step down. I even know ppl who have been fasting for him to step down so a better leader can run Malawi. What goes around comes around, and you never know, this could be the bad coming to him. God answers ppls prayers in different ways, and u never know, maybe this is a way of God answering the crying Malawians prayers. All i can say is, great people with selfish power and greed always fall. And when they fall, they fall terribly. The same pain he has made Malawians go through, he will go through it too, it doesnt matter how, our God is great! I dont even feel sorry for him!!
