School-girl crowned Miss Valentine 2012

BLANTYRE (BNL) -Chimwemwe Chokani, a form four student at Michiru View Secondary School, won the Miss Valentine 2012 crown after outclassing other 15 contestants from across the country.

Tadala Ndisale, an accounts and finance student at Blantyre Institute of Management emerged first princess while Elisha Tembo, a student at Malawi College of Accountancy, was second princess.

Among other prizes, the winners received a shopping voucher from L. Devraj Exclusive Clothing Shop, driving scholarships from Midima Highway Driving School and also hair dressing vouchers from Hair Turn Beauty Salon.

The new Valentine queen, whose inspiration is international model Tyra Banks, said her first task would be to preach against early marriages and pre-marital sex to fellow pupils.
